Common questions
Is dkod free?
The CLI is MIT-licensed and always free. The desktop app is free. The team dashboard will be a paid service — pricing will be announced when it launches.
Which agents are supported?
Claude Code, Codex, Copilot CLI, Gemini CLI, Cursor, OpenCode, and Factory AI (Droid). Each agent has a dedicated capture adapter.
Where is my data stored?
Session data is stored as git refs inside your repo. Transcripts never leave your git host. The team indexer stores metadata and embeddings only — full content is fetched live through your GitHub token.
Do I need a GitHub account?
Not for the CLI or desktop app. The team dashboard requires GitHub OAuth sign-in to access your org's repos.
